802.11n Compromise Coming?

By Glenn Fleishman

Unstrung reports that a compromise is on the way for the stalled group: The two leading proposals aren’t in a positions to either win 75 percent supermajorities on their drafts. The IEEE uses a 50 percent majority to decide on a proposal, but the draft of that proposal requires 75 percent in a separate vote to ensure compromise. (UWB has been stalled in 802.15.3a for similar reasons.)

Unstrung says a compromise is coming together that could be finalized by November.
